EGEIS is supported by the three leading European producers of glyphosate – Cheminova, Monsanto and Syngenta, and aims to contribute to glyphosate sustainability by providing up to date, independently sourced and scientifically based information on Environmental issues concerning glyphosate.
What is the Toolbox?
The “Toolbox” consists of a range of summary documents on aspects of glyphosate in the environment, compiled by independent European experts whose specialist expertise includes pesticide fate and behaviour, environmental risk assessment and water management. The aim is to provide high level, but condensed information useful to a range of users, including Water managers, Environment agencies, Government departments Land managers and Pesticide practitioners. References/web links within each section provide access to additional information sources.
Scope
Within the toolbox discussion is focussed on the active ingredient (a.i) - glyphosate, and its main metabolite (degradation product) AMPA only. Formulated products (brand names) are not within the scope of this resource.
